Types of patients accepted

Self-pay private patients
These are patients that wish to pay for their own private medical care, rather than using an insurance policy or NHS. There are a wide range of benefits to include much shorter wait times for both clinic consultations and treatment if required. Please contact secretary, email or go to direct booking portal.

NHS patient
As a NHS patient, you can ask your GP to be referred to see me specifically at Nuffield Health Bristol. You have the benefit of excellent care at Nuffield Health Hospital by Mr Shahid, which is paid for by the NHS. The appointment times and surgery times will be longer than for private patients, and currently far shorter than NHS hospital wait times. Only a few surgeons such as Mr Shahid are happy to accept NHS patients to provide great care to all.
